I think it's Firehouse Subs. Good portions and reasonable price.

I'm going to say Quiznos because I've never heard of those other ones. I'm quite partial to Mr. Sub.

Subway is the only one of those I have been to. The local grocery stores and convenience stores are much better... and cheaper.

Does it have to be a national chain?

Wawa if regional is ok.
Primo's if local (Philly area) is ok.

If national, I do like Quizno's.

All the Quizno's around here pretty much went out of business due to high prices compared to how much food you get.

Lenny's USED to load you up, but they have cut back.

Firehouse is AWESOME around here. Their beef brisket sub owns.

That's odd, Lenny's still loads you up in my area. Guess it varies from area to area. I'm not so sure about putting Schlotzsky's Deli on this list though. Don't get me wrong they make some awesome sandwiches and I enjoy them myself. However I don't think that I'd label the sandwiches that they make as anything close to a sub sandwich.

In Colorado, Deli Zone. They have like 10 stores and serve breakfast subs all day. :D

It is hit or miss with Lenny's. I actually had this discussion with my wife the other day and I said the last 2 times I went to Lenny's I felt they missed it while the wife said they load her up still.

Firehouse mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I am getting hungry.

Also, doesn't Steak Escape count as a sub shop?

I like Quiznos a lot. Too bad they closed all the ones in the Hartford area down :(

Ehhhhhh Steak Escape would be borderline as a sub shop at best. My requirements for a sub shop personally are that they have more than one meat type available for their subs. I really hate you for mentioning Firehouse though, I looked them up online and they are actually in my state. Unfortunately the nearest one is about 60 miles away, and that's a long way to drive for a sub but they sure do look tempting online.

We have three chain-type of sub shops.

Subway
Quiznos
Togo's

Of the three, Togo's is the best.

Our Steak Escapes have chicken and steak.

Firehouse's smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket sub (correct term for it) is awesome. I have YET to be disappointed.

Portillo's is my favorite sammich chain, if you're talking chains that are in multiple states, then Penn Station.

Potbelly subs are great too.

Of the listed options, Blimpie is my favorite,

Never heard of Firehouse, Lennies or Jersey Mike.

Erbert and Gerbert's is a great regional chain in Wisconsin and Minnesota. In the Denver area, we have Fat Jack's. Otherwise I choose Jimmy Johns.

Edit: mixed up names.

Anyone live around a Penn Station? I live in Cincinnati and they're everywhere. They make amazing hot sandwiches, cheesesteaks, pizza subs, etc.

I like Lenny's. Hot Pepper Relish FTW

This is really good on their grilled chicken sub. I used to eat there a lot then Quizno's came and all the Quizno's went out of business due to high prices around here. We have McAlister's (more of a sandwhich shop, but they have something called The Big Nasty which is delicious) here which is good but Firehouse is awesome.

You do realize that the only option in the poll should be Potbelly, right?

and it isn't even in your poll...

this is a sad, sad failure.

Also, Quizno's just may be the worst restaurant chain, overall.

stiff competition with KFC, of course.

(In your current poll, I'd say Jersey Mike's is the best)

then Subway. for real.
