Best CD-RW for less than $120 ?

Whats the best CD-RW I can get for less than $120 ? (less than $100 would be even better). I don't burn CDs all the time, so a quality CD burner with anything more than 24x write speed would be more than enough.

MaximumPC thrashed the 32x Lite-on and came away amazed that Lite-On could make such a "kick ass" drive for so little cash. I would say Teac is another quality, middle-priced unit

Are you talking about the Lite On 32x12x40x ? What about the TDK VeloCD 32X/10X/40X ? It comes to about the same price after rebate.

Lite-On 40x12x48 CDRW from newegg.com is $99 for the retail version. Lite-On is excellent for their prices. I use their 16X DVD drive and its the best drive Ive ever had. Its DAE speed is only 2nd to the el crappo Kenwood drives.

<< I just ordered the 40x Lite-on from Dell. $95 including tax and shipping. >>

good choice, i just bought the same drive yesterday, supposed to be one of the best 40x's out there, if not the best.

do all the newer drives do SafeDisc2? i know at 24x, not all drives supported SD2... seeing as 32x/40x cdrw are so cheap, im contemplating getting one.. 🙂
