Best CD Ripper

What do you guys use?

I've been using MusicMatch (purely for ripping), but it seems a bit slow, typically 2-5x. Anything better?

maybe i'm an idiot, but each time i try to rip, EAC is ripping it to WAV even though i'm pressing the MP3 button.

and where is the option to change the bitrate?

You need to download a separate encoder and configure EAC to use it.

LAME works well. Run EAC's auto-config wizard and it will set itself up to use it.

Everyone says either CDex or EAC. I use CDex because it's simple to set up and use.

eh, sounds like you don't have it configured right, use Cdex.

Just so you know, audio cds have WAVs and those have need to be extracted first and then encoded to mp3.


I use EAC.
