hi, I was going to buy a plextor 12/10/32 cd rewriter but in my country they're very hard to come by apparantly. I need the drive real soon so I looking for another one. In this forum I've read that yamaha is very good also but <sigh> that isn't very available in my country either. What's the 3rd best choice? My local retailer recommended me an Aopen 12/10/32. (it's supposedly would have a 8mb buffer but I aint sure about that).
Thanks in advance.

The TDK VeloCD 12/10/32. I think it's a Plextor manufactured unit. About as nice from what I read.

Plextor is the best, but if you can't get one, I would recommend Yamaha.

I have the Ricoh Media Master MP7120A, which came in ahead of the Plexstor in CNet's tests. So far, it's been great. Only 1 bad disc out of 100, and that was my fault!

It comes with the Prassi abCD software which I like better than the Adaptec.
