Best Catch Ever

That was an amazing catch but Eric Byrnes sounds and looks like an idiot. It looked like ben was looking at the ball the entire time and just peeked at the wall... he didn't turn his head at all away from the ball.

And do people saying that its not that impressive... have you ever played outfield? That catch is a lot harder than diving in or to the side. The wall totally complicates everything.

This catch is more glamorous but the OP's catch is harder imo.

This guy had time to scale the wall and briefly secure his balance at the top with his right hand, THEN catch it.

In the OP catch, he had to charge towards the wall, turn over his right shoulder to spot and track the ball, but catch it over his left just as his body made contact into the wall. There's a helluva lot going on there at once.

I think the japanese player probably knew that fence well and that he could scale it if needed, and it just worked out perfectly that he had enough time. That's not nearly as risky as the OP's catch.

There are a ton of very athletic center fielders out there right now. My Tigers Austin Jackson has taken 2 HRs away in the last two weeks and thrown a runner out at the plate in the bottom of the ninth to preserve a win.
