Andy,

I considered that case first, but, as the reviewer says in the article you linked, "The printing on the side windows is crisply done, but frankly, I think I prefer plain clear ones. Your tastes may differ." I wanted a plain one even though I loved that case. That's why I then looked at the PC65 version, and then stumbled into the Kingwin KT436, which is similar. Hmmm

Yesterday i became the owner of a Antec Sonata Piano Black Quiet Midi Tower, i think it is VERY well built and it is true that it is "Silent" as long as you have silent HDD and a Silent CPU cooler (i have a aero 7).

So i am happy with it :)

I found another one. This case is apparently the same as the Kingwin KT436 I mentioned a few topics ago. However, it's branded by Directron, who has a $10 coupon out now, and Directron makes some cool colors like champagne. Here's the champagne colored version Directron SF-201c and here is a review at Toms Hardware and some great shots at Motherboards.org On 05/21/03 the Blue silver is only $109 and with their $10 coupon it's only $99. That's the best deal going on a case, IMHO.

Yep, thats a Kingwin by another name. I dislike how all versions of the case point to the same black case pics. They don't list free shipping. Was that in email?

well, I will say that I love the case...

however,
1. the fans are quiet because they dont push any air :)
2. the whole package weighs about 70lbs... that aint going to a lan (all components installed)
3. while the incredibly large case allows for easy wiring, the rheobus and all the fans makes for a helluva install task...
4. the sideways hd mount stops most of the airflow from the intakes...

I love the case... but $130 (blue model) is a little pricey without a psu... tack on a 550w antec and you're at $230... that's plenty.

build solid, looks incredible, but you pay for it...

If I had to do it over again, I would get a smaller/cheaper case and have bigger and fewer case fans.

Randy I assumed you were talking about the Directron/Kingwin case when you mention "blue model" but the hd does not mount sideways in those, does it?

It turns out that that KeyPower KP-B0317 case I mentioned in my earlier post Linkage is nearly identical to this Enermax case. KPI bumped the price. Damn, just as I was about to order one for "evaluation" ;) ... But the KPI is still $20+ cheaper than the Enermax at Newegg. Plus you can get a decent 300W PSU for $19. with the case if you want it - see the KPI home page.

My ultimate case would be a Falcon Northwest painted ATC-110 with a large side window.
