I would think they are about the same. I have the Sonata and have seen the Lanboy.

I think the Sonata would be a bit better than the LANBoy (I'm sure you meant the new "Super" LANBoy) because the heavyweight steel will add some natural sound dampening while the stiffer and lighter aluminum will "hum" a bit more. However, both the Sonata and the "Super" LANBoy would be nice and quiet choices. The Sonata comes with a single fan TruePower 380W (if memory serves correct) which may or may not be a benefit. The power supply is fairly quiet, though not truely silent. The last thing is asthetics... IMO the "Super" LANBoy looks... kinda funky and strange. Definately an acquired taste. The Sonata has clean, classic looks in a nice glossy finish.
