Best Case fans ? Antec SX1040B

Hey all. I am getting an Antec SX1040B very soon and want to get some fans to go w/ it. It is my first system to build so I am no where near pro yet. It comes w/ 2 case fans that I hear are a little noisey. I am not too worried about noise but want good air flow and not anything WAY loud. I have heard good things about Panaflo, Enermax, and Sunon. Let me know what you suggest and where to find them please. thanks

My 23dba sunons are due to arrive tomorrow so I can let you know more then. But everyone just raves about the 21dba panaflows so you might want to try them.

The best fan in my Antec SX830 rattlemaster right now is the Thermaltake temperature controlled one I ripped off the volcano 7 HSF I bought.

Panaflo L1A's all around here. I got mine at www.allelectronics.com for $4.50 (picked them up here in Socal, so no shipping). You can also get them at www.bgmicro.com for about $3.00. They have a 10 unit discount if you want spares. I bought a couple extra myself just in case one goes bad or I want to add a fan to the drive cage.

I'm about to buy this case and bought the PC Power and Cooling Silencers at $8.xx each shipped free when they had the deal. I think they are 20 db.. I can't hear them over the stock coolermaster HSF on my other pc. I plan on running a Silencer on my Alpha 8045 as well..

If I can just decide on a damn mobo, I'll be ready to put this rig together.

I found a deal for 2 enermax 80mm fans and a enermax HD fan for pretty cheap...Is a HD fan necessary? Sounds like a good deal...

Anyone have that setup? Enermax case/HD fans (2 fan II Eneermax) and the HD cooler? If so it it loud? Also, is it overkill?

I can't speak for the Enermax fans, but all four of my case fans are Panaflos, plus I have one more for my hsf. Its extremely quiet, and for the price you can't go wrong. You could fill your case with those fans for 12 bucks 🙂

The L1A's from All Electronics have the same 2 pin connector as those you get at bgmicro. They are easily modified to either plug into a motherboard or a 3 to 4 pin adapter. The adapters can be found all over the place. I got mine at Fry's Electronics.

I received my 23dba Sunon's yesterday.

If the Panaflows are better than these guys they must be truly great. The sunons are about as quiet a case fan as I have ever heard.

I'd recommend the Sunons.

I also got a variable speed fan. Looks to be an enermax. You can dial it to a point where it is moving a pretty decent amount of air but is still quiet.

Now the hideously loud thing in the case is just the HSF. As soon as I replace that I should have true peace.
