Wacky Racers, Fat Albert & Scoobie Doo. Wheelie & The Chopper Bunch & Bobby's World deserve honorable mentions too.

looney tunes

Agreed 100%. I'd also like to add that looney tunes used a lot of classical music in the background. Research has shown that listening to classical music at an early age increases intelligence. Hence, one of the reasons why our generation is so much smarter than these younger generations.

Jonny Quest, 1946-1965. None other even close.

Monsters, flying dinosaurs, gee-whiz vehicles, kids with guns, coll as heck soundtrack, and bad guys who were actually killed. Best cartoon ever.

Jonny Quest was OK back in the day...they even had their token Indian...almost unheard of in those days.

BTW, Jonny Quest wasn't from 1946-1965...maybe from 1964-65...but definitely NOT around in 1946.

Do they not air the classic cartoons anymore? I remember watching them when I was young very early Saturday mornings before they would air the more modern ones at the time (TMNT, Duck Tales, Garfield, etc). I would always watch Looney Tunes, Popeye, Woody Woodpecker, etc Scooby Doo, and Jonny Quest before the 90s stuff came on at mid morning. I'm 25.
