Hi,
I'm getting a 3d card for my new comp.(Amd 1800 XP, hopefully nForce2, etc.) with a LCD monitor. This comp. will be running mostly Linux but some WinXP. I need something that has great 2D graphics and enough 3D features to support newer games. I was thinking about the ATI RADEON 9000 but heard that Linux support for it is very poor and only Nvidia cards are good LInux support. So my other choices are GeForce4MX 440 and the GeForce 3 Ti 200.

i know that the GF 4 MX doesn't have the programmable vertex shader support like the GF 3 but does it offer any improvements at all? 2D quality, AA, etc.

thanks,
tom
