hey guys -- planning on building a media workstation that will be primarily used as a workhorse of projection, video display, and almost any other media application. gaming is not an issue for this workstation.

with that in mind, what video card do you guys recommend for a decent price (under or around $200)?

thanks!

dude, you go to drexel, i do to... madness!

7600GT's are pretty cheap. if you want HDMI, you could also look into an 1600HDMI (pricey for the output) or an X1900GT HDCP and get a DVI/HDMI converter.

Our video guy is working with some 7xxx series to drive multiple heads for both work and media display. No issues that I have heard of.
