Best card for a DLP HDTV?

I've used a DVI to HDMI conversion cable to connect my pc to my DLP TV before, but the picture was always extremely fuzzy, poor quality no matter what resolution I set my desktop too. I'm trying to hook it back up again to the same tv... what would be my best chances of having the output displayed properly on the TV: TV tuner card or video card?

Could "High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection" been what was preventing the video output from being properly displayed previously?

No, HDCP was not your issue that would have only been an issue if you tried to watch a Bluray movie from your computer and it didn't work.

I'm surprised you had this issue because with my Geforce 8800 GTS 640 and my new Samsung Series 7 65" DLP and the nVidia software makes configuration and screen stretching at 1080P really easy.

I had trouble with my old Philips 30" Widescreen CRT HDTV where the text was all fuzzy and the refresh rate didn't sync right with the card.

These new all "digital" televisions are really much better than even a few years ago.

Yeah i tried for a few weeks, posting on other forums, using different software, cables, everything a noob could try & I never got the picture clear. the text was nearly unreadable & it just looked like shit.

I'm thinking it must be something specific with the tv, perhaps the refresh rate that you mentioned.

Would it really matter whether I use the onboard video, agp card or tv tuner to get the right quality picture displayed?

I'm really trying to get someone's input on this question. Would it be possible to use on board video on an older mobo to get the display clearly? Like using a VGA to Component converter cable with some video configuration software?
