Most 7600GT's are around $150-160, and most 7900GTs are $250+.

What inbetween or what's good from Ati for $200.

Thanks for any help.

Great find.

Any $200 Nvidia cards? (not the recertified 7800GT / 7900GT)

The X1800XT would trounce a 7600GT though.
So...price/performance...which one wins in the the <$200 segment?

If you're wanting to have a quiet system, a gpu not sucking up much out of your PSU and still be able to play the games out there? By then is your best bet.

Unless you have a highly reliable PSU, and did not care about noise and like to have a monster in your system. Then, the x1800xt will be your best friend.

I have two great cards so far.

x850xt agp - costed me $ 350 last year :( (meh it's worth it lol)

7600GT KO - 169.99 (I didn't mail the rebate...i'm lazy) + zalman VF900 (another $ 33.00 )

Honestly, I leaned towards to Nvidia only in OGL games and also their neat control panel to adjust AA/AF on certain games only!!!! So far with my 7600GT KO, I'm playing most of the games I owned so far and it plays very well on 1600x1200 2x or 4x AA/ 8 AF. Excluding oblivion...it's a system resource destroyer !

But again, I like ATi's x850xt because it really kicked arse in oblivion and other heavy shader games...

I don't rebate.

So...choices now are:
X850XT (Retail)
7600GT (Retail)
X1800XT (OEM)

What wins price/performance?

1280x1024

x850xt is teh winnar overall under ~ $150

1280x1024 OGL games

7600GT is teh winnar under $ 200

1280x1024 (all max settings AA/AF !!!)--> 1600x1200

x1800xt will BLOW your mind.

OEM means short warranty.

Maybe you could go to the FS section of the forums to look for a deal.

But right now, maybe a 7600GT/X1800GTO. If lucky a X1900GT.

Kinda new to the forum. Look for a deal where?
How short is the OEM warranty?

I wouldn't worry about the warranty...newegg has the standard 1 year warranty on most of the products. You can't beat their service. I did RMA'd a couple of items last year, quick and painless.
