best card for 1080p viewing under $50??

can some one help me with an best card for viewing 1080p content on HDTV?

I have no idea of playing games.

can someone recommend me a card for under $50?

the processor I am using is Intel i3 530 processor and the mobo is Intel BOXDH57JG.

the PSU is 250W.

Sure, they pull like 10W under load. not that its going to be under load if all your going to do is watch 1080p content.

We should consider the fact that an i3 can decode completely in software too so there is less dependence on the GPU for decoding quality (but still for rendering).

May as well save up for a 5570 or something like that so that the high quality sharpening shaders will work in MPC-HC without lagging.

Seems like the 5450 is a little underpowered

You can get this 5570 for $35 with rebate.

Hmmm... that's pretty interesting. I kinda wonder how they compare to IGPs though, especially to something like the HD4200.

I tested an Asus 785G mobo for DXVA enabled playback and I thought it was interesting that video playback sucked with lots of artifacts when I forced the HD4200 to only use the sideport memory (128MB of DDR3-1333 built into the mobo). It was perfectly fine once I let it use some system memory, but when it came to image quality, I didn't notice anything unusual or different.

I'm not convinced that even $20 is worth paying for better image quality, but you got me thinking about it at least. Now I'm gonna look for some 785G/HD4200 reviews to see if there's anything about image quality...

those are two different ram speeds your looking at. the mobo is for the system ram. video has its only ram that runs at its own speed.
