What is the best tool to get multiple work units loaded into my GUI Seti client???

I'd use SetiQ. That way you're protected all around. With SetiQ, if Berkeley goes down, if a public proxy goes down, even if your own internet connection goes down, you're still okay. 🙂
 
Over the last 8+ days that my SETIQueue has been runnning since it's last restart it has used only ~51minutes of cpu time........the memory usage (footprint) is only 19,128K
The seti CLI version itself uses 15,000~17,000+K of memory as a footprint
I would say that SETIQueue is a pretty non-evasive program...my biggest space hog is the files from my Q, at 3+ gigs 🙂.realize that I have 160+ users and 400+ clients connecting to me.
The more the merrier though 😀

Joining a team doesn't take the credit from you. It merely adds your total to the TeAm total for team stat purposes. You still get full credit as an individual.

I currently have 3,979 Units for myself and counting towards the TeAm (<----Selfish for me and the TeAm)

So join up! 😀

Wish I could use a registry hack to Que more units. I hate loading more programs.
I took SETIQueue off in favor of SetiMonitor. Any other suggestions???

Consider a 1200@1311 Athlon, and 1800+ Athlon XP (1533@1593) at your disposal.

Can't believe no one has hit on you yet about the CLI CLIENT. 😉

Are you familiar with the "other" way to run SETI known as the CLI CLIENT.

With it you can use an add on program such as SetiDriver and cache as many WUs as you want on your own computer. That's the way the vast majority of us handle it.

If you would like to try the CLI you probably should wait until you finish your next SETI Work Unit and then uninstall the GUI Client before installing the CLI CLIENT.

Just click on the link in my sig "Team AnandTech SETI" and you will have a complete set of instructions. Once you get it going you can always switch to a team Q which is not necessary but does have some advantages. But one step at a time is the way to go in my book ... KISS. 😀

And knock yourself out. All this had me install the GUI last night to see how the latest version works. Very smooth install and yes the graphics are still great "eye candy". 🙂

I did notice that my OC 1900+ XP (FSB 143 / 1717 MHz) which averages around 3:16 per WU was only 30% done after 2:10 of crunching those pretty graphics. I couldn't stand it anymore so I uninstalled the GUI and put the CLI back in action. 😀
