Don't they allow you to exchange for the same thing if it's opened?

Or is it that your computer doesn't meet the requirements...

I'm pretty sure that policy is spelled out in huge letters behind the returns area visible from halfway across the store.

Best Buy has the same return policy as any other retailer for returned software.

What games were they?

Software is not returnable anywhere, since once it's opened, you've had access to the license/key.

No one's fault but your own

Why didnt the games work?

I have farcry and just got around to trying to play it last month again. I tried to get it working about 9 months ago and it didnt work. Anyhow after tech support saying my system was too good for it (bullshit) and trying all kinds of things on the user forums of the game manufacturer I decided to try something on a hunch. I downloaded a crack for the game """"""I OWN IT"""""" and BAM it works. I don't know why when I had turned off all my software running in the background etc. etc. but nothing worked till I used the crack on it. Told the people on the forums and then my post was promptly deleted of course, lol.

That's why they usually tell you to go online and download the demo to make sure it runs on your comp.

Wait.... people actually buy software? Mistake #1 was not downloading the games from the internet first to see if you liked them. If you didn't like them, you were out nothing. If you did like them, you could go and purchase them as needed. Mistake #2 was buying anything from best buy, for a multitude of reasons.
