Best Buy Warranty Saves my Butt Again

Several years ago, I bought a new 42" plasma screen. Lasted about a year before the screen went out. Luckily, I purchased the extended service plan, got it replaced free of charge.

Then this week, the 37" LCD I bought in December crapped out. Luckily, I also purchased the ESP on this bad boy and will be, again, getting it replaced.

After going 2-for-2 on defective TV's, I think I'll never forgo the service plans again on these suckers.

what brand and model ?

Well the first one was a Panasonic something-or-other, forget which model. The current one is a Westinghouse 1080p, I forget the exact model number. Why can't TV's just have model names like cars? Instead of garbage like LM29-0A-45. Like people run around saying that's what they have.

That Costco deal sounds good... Sadly, the one up here has jack sh!t for a selection of... anything.

hmm... my next tv purchase will definetly be there if that is true
But i'm sure if you read the fine print, its more like "life-time" of the televsion... meaning whatever the manuf. deems the lifetime cycle of the product is. In other words not the lifetime as in a humans. Life time warranties are often misunderstood and seem misleading. Read the fine print.

you gota sick system.
you gotta give me the full specs including software 😛 so I can duplicate one for myself.

Costco doesn't have a extended warranty service. What they have is a no questions asked return policy on all items. Well... you have to give an accout of what went wrong with the item or what you don't like about it, but that is usually it. A box and receipt, or sometime just the receipt is good enough. A worker once told me about some lady who returned a washer and got credit for it after 5 years. No box, just receipt. Course unscrupulous individuals may take advantage of this and f it up for the normal decent folk.
