I have a Sony VAIO laptop, about a year old... I had to take it in (edit: to bestbuy) for a motherboard replacement, I got it back 1 1/2 months later.

look.

technically, read the service plan brochure. iirc it says something about repairs taking more than 4 weeks may be considered for a replacement.

I cannot speak for whoever is working on it. I know we qoute 7-10 days for any repair that does not need parts ordered. If parts are not needed things are usually back in 5 or 6 days.

Call the service center.

They had my friend's amp for a month and a half to two months. They told him 3-4 weeks I believe. Most of the time it was just sitting on their shelf waiting to be sent to the Yamaha service center (which I believe is in the next city over). You should have expected this kind of service.
