You too? I was pissed last time they did this and my packet arrived the day after the appreciation sale was over. If it happens again I'm not sure who to complain to...Best Buy or the Post Office. Since on the packet, it has printed "Post Office - please deliver between {dates}" which would tend to mean they get them to the post office in plenty of time and the post office is sitting on them too long (at least that's what Best Buy will say)...I'm sure the post office will say they're delivering them as soon as they get them in and that Best Buy isn't sending them out soon enough.

What do you have to do to be a "preferred customer"? Does that mean you need to be "Barry", "Buzz", or "Jill" and not be the Devil?

There are various theories out there. I think your best bet for getting on "the list" is to order something through their website.

I used mine when I bought my BFG 6800GT, it was a coupon for 10% off or 12% off if you used your best buy card. When ringing everything up, the cashier goofed and took 12% off even though I payed with cash. So I got my BFG 6800GT for 380 bucks, which wasnt too bad of a deal I dont think.

I used the coupon on the 50-pack of Fuji DVD-R's that were in this week's ad - $19.99 after instant rebate, less 10% with the coupon. All the ones I saw at this store (Pasadena, CA) were made in Japan and presumably are Taiyo Yuden. When I checked out, I asked the snotty checker if the coupon was good and she said no, she was pretty sure it wouldn't be. I pointed out that it covered "dvd media" and she told me this wasn't dvd media, that the dvd media was over where the dvd movies were. So then I pointed at the Fuji's and asked her "well what exactly do you call this if it isn't dvd media?" She didn't know. Then she checked the coupon and saw my dvd "unmedia" qualified for the discount so she grudingly rang it up. Isn't it wonderful that Best Buy hires the mentally and personality handicapped so that there is a place for them.

I'm new to this forum, so I don't know if my question is appropriate or not. If not, I apologize ahead of time. Anyway, I'm going to be pre-ordering a plasma TV from Best Buy this week. I've heard of these "preferred customer" coupons you are all referring to, but I do not have any of these in my possession, even though I regularly purchase merchandise at BB. I asked BB about it, and they told me I need to get a BB credit card. I suppose I will, but it won't help me for when I purchase this plasma TV this week. I was wondering, does anyone out there happen to have an extra coupon I may be able to use for my purchase? I'd pay any shipping costs to receive it and even send you a case of beer or something like that. 🙂 Please contact me via e-mail if you can help me out: maz@uwalumni.com Thanks!

You become a preferred customer only through ordering things online? That sucks cuz I buy in store all the time :/

It seems to me, coupons come out at varying times for different people, especially given aolj's post. For all I know, some may have received coupons for this coming weekend.
