A BB store rep once told me that I needed to buy their extended warranty plan for my Sony DV Camcorder because Sony DV Camcorders have more parts. That's why they're so much better than the rest. If it weren't for the fact that I was getting $150 off the price of that camcorder already I would have walked out the door right then.

Wow, you guys must be talking to some less than intelligent sales people. I have seen those guys at the store I work with and I usually interrupt and correct them when they tell something stupid to a customer. I hate it when people lie, it is just a personal pet peeve of mine. I don't think I am going to keep my job too long. 😛

They wanted me to buy an extended warranty for my 1 GB flash memory. I assume that's due to all the moving parts in that particular item....
