Best Buy Maintenance Service Sucks

I have purchased HP Laptop from Best Buy, with in month time I have hardly used fro 10 hours, and it stopped reckognising hard drive. I called Best But supoort, and finally they asked me to go store for repair. After two week, they called me to say laptop model and maintenace contract not matching. After showing receipt, and other document they found their own mistake and now says I have to wait 3-4 weeks. I have given my laptop for repairing on April 19th and It will not be back unitilJun 1st. Till that time they can not do except bark (I have not seen politeness upto Manager) at customers.

Learn the rules

~edit~ to be more sensitive (bah...) learn to spellcheck

And read your warranty before assuming you should be given a new product everytime "it screws up"

Thanks for the post. I was actually an investor in the company, but I got out years ago. Too much expansion for me. But sorry to hear about your trouble. Good luck getting it fixed...

Even though this is OFF TOPIC for the hot deals forum I wanted to add my 2 cents anyways....
Everyone needs to realize these "PSP", "Extended Service Plans" or what ever name you want to call them is a big time money maker for the selling companies. Additionally once you purchase the plan the selling company quickly washes their hands of you and what you have just purchased is a "repair" contract with some random third party. The way items are made now adays it might be in you best interest and forego thes plans. Make sure you put the purchase through its paces well before the final return date passes and you will be in good shape. I have my own horror stories from a lap top which I tried to have repaired.. Make a long story short 3 years ago I spent $300 for an ESP on a P133. I had some screen flicker, and tried to have it fixed. Well, the 3rd party did not do it after 3 tries. The moral, by the time you need it fixed it is close to worthless any ways. save your money for the replacement.

you are dumb. if it's 200+ bucks that you wasted on it, then you need to learn how to abuse the system a bit. and yes the last post was right, if it's still that first year you should deal with the manufacturer regardless of what service plan you bought. wrong place for this mess anyhow.

Nitinshah did you notice your previous thread was already locked?

Hello... Hello...

Yeah and most people know that 8 of 10 times the service deal at a retail store is just a money maker for the retail store because they always find a way to charge you more by saying something like "your warrantee doesn't cover that", etc.

Can we get a thread locked at the top for the dumbest repeat irrelavant thread of the year?

Wow beat the lock.
