Best Buy has the 10% coupon right now which includes games. Buy the Gamers Gift card with the $5 off coupon inside. Figure out what the price of the game will be minus $5 and 10%, then add tax. Purchase the gift card for that amount. Go outside, open the gift card container and take out the coupon. Go back in, grab a flyer with the 10% off coupon. Then grab the game and go. This is probably YMMV seeing as they may not want to honor both the coupon and the 10%. I just told the guy that the $5 off coupon was not another offer, just a coupon you get for buying the gift card. Anyway good luck with this. I scored Delta Force: Black Hawk Down for $33 after tax.

This is my first Hot Deal Post, so please be gentle!

i have done this before...you dont even need to walk out the store. My checkout person let me buy the GC on the first transaction, then used it on the second transaction.

Most wont let you use the 10% coupon and the $5 coupon on the same item. Both coupons state that they cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. I got shot down last week when I tried to use the $5 coupon and get the $10 gift card free with two XBox Platinum Hits titles.

Best Buy has these Gift Cards that are green and come in CD-type plastic cases. They were released for the holiday season, but many stores still have them.

On the back of the case is a coupon for $5 off any video game title or accessory $19.99 and above. So basically you put some money on the card and buy it for yourself, then you use the coupon and the card to pay for an item. Basically it involves very little work and you get a $5 coupon.

The gamer's gift card is just that, a Best Buy store gift card. Except that it's not _just_ that; there's also a coupon that comes with it for $5 off pretty much any item in the video game section of the store that's $19.99 or more (games, accessories, etc.) That's also where you'll find them, on the racks with the games in a CD case, generally on either end of a section.

I've never had any luck using them in conjunction with any other deal, including pricematching other stores, but quite a few people on the threads seem to. It all depends on who you get as your cashier and it never hurts to try.

Like goucberkeley said, generally the cashier will let you buy the gift card, then open it up and use the coupon and the card to buy another item right away. If not just tell them to hold on to it while you run around and get back in line. ;)

One other thing that wasn't immediately obvious to me. Even though it's a `gamer's' gift card, and it's only good on `video games'. Computer games are `software' and thus don't count.

I used the gamer's gift card to get BF:1942 expansion pak for $15. No problem
whatsoever.

Hint: Find the most clueless looking, young (preferrably a member of the opposite
sex) cashier, and 9 times out of 10, you'll get the deal (10% off plus $5).

The gamer's gift card coupons are only on the back of the neon green packaged gift card. They come in a CD case and are usually right near the games, but if you don't see any there look near the customer service desk. I have bought several games by pricematching and then using the coupon. There are so many other stores around here(northern Virginia/DC) to buy electronics that they never give you a problem. But if you live in the middle of nowhere and BB is the only store in town good luck! They might figure they have you by the marbles.

I read the review and the only thing to get glowing remarks was the engine. Everything else, he felt it was average (like the sound) to below average (AI).

It seemed every time he made a negative comment about the game, he had to rationalize it (it's not about bad AI, it's about being in a squad and the 'frenzy')

this review wasn't as negative as the gamespot one, but I doesn't bring up much for its defense

=)
