darn my order for two of them got cancelled. this is going to make me think twice about bestbuy's reputation after this.

off topic note: I bought a olympus digital camera for my dad there a while back, but when I found out it did not come with a rechargeable battery I tried to return it. Bestbuy had the nerve to try and charge me a 15% restocking fee becuase I opened the product (which I DID NOT). They claim because the seal was missing that the product was therefore opened, however I pointed out that none of the cameras they showed me had seals to begin with. The manager then told me this did not matter as it was my responsibility to see this. I had asked the cashier if this was going to be a problem and they told me no. Took me over 1 hour of arguing to get my full money back (over $700). Ever since then I have been very VERY careful about buying anything from bestbuy so they do not try and screw me again.

It's in-hand now. Picked it up on my lunch hour. They adjusted the penny off and gave it to me for free. Nobody questioned the price at all.

My orders went through. I had initially ordered 1 for myself and one for my fiance. About 10 minutes later it occurred to me that a lot of my friends had GBAs, and a number of my cousins/neices/nephews got them for xmas, so i placed a second order for 5 more.

I placed my orders probably at 7:10am (eastern) this morning, and My confirmations came about 10 minutes later. I just went down and picked them up at Noon with no problems.

Glad my orders came through. Hopefully they'll screw up again like this

I got the cancellation notice too. Dammit! I wonder if they will still honor it as a Pricematch to their online store price. They have to do that you know.

What the hell? I'm the guy that brought the deal and I just got a cancellation notice. I ordered mine 20 minutes before posting the deal here so thats really odd that they screwed me. This sucks too because I bought a few GBA's for cousins and myself this Christmas so I was actually gonna use it. :eek:

Best Buy is SUCK! :Q

I'm curious.. did the people who got cancelled opt to have them shipped, or use the "in-store pickup" option? I suspect that when "in-store pickup" is used, the local store makes the determination to ship or cancel. Could be wrong, but it would seem to make sense.

I ordered to pick up in the store, and I just went there. They didn't even say anything about the price, the clerck did show an eye brouse, when she saw the price, but that was it. I got 3 for my nephews.

At least I have to say thanks to "emonkey" and sorry that they cancell your order bro.

Just got back from picking the 3 I ordered this morning (early am). This deal might not be dead, as the last remaining one on display in the GBA aisle was actually marked at .01 (one penny)?! (orginal price sticker underneath was $3.99 I think). I'm thinking this is definitely a close-out item and not a error.

Just my opinion,

I grabbed last 3 at B&M.
Had it scanned before the register.
I said"Tell me these are a penny?"
He looked at me weird,scanned it & said"Uh yeah,thought you were joking me"(while still lookin at the price on the scan gun).
Up to register & out the door.
Cashier said "3 cents,WOW!"
Check your B&M's.

Got mine...for those who missed out, don't sweat it too much...these things are pretty $hitty...barely worth the time to pick it up...only value is that you can say, "Hey, I just got a roll cage for my gameboy."

Value for me is that I can say, "Hey, my kids can't destroy my GBA screen by scraping it across whatever surface they set it down on."

Already replaced the screen once; this will save me from doing so again--and for free.
