Best Buy employees Please Help!

OK. I just got a job at Best Buyon the Geek Squad. Well I put down that I wanted 9.25 and hour, cause I had no idea what to put. I was wondering if anyone knew the starting wage that they will go up to for the Geek Squad, or what anyone else might have gotten started at. Thanks.

really depends on your skills.
i'd say $12-15 an hour.
but since your 16, $9.25 is fair

Sorry I need to change my profile. I'm 21, graduated from a 2 yea tech school for computer repair/networking. Also almost finished with my associates in Indutrial Technology. Only experience is from school and personal, no business.

9.25 is too low... thats like the min. on the payscale for techs... you shoulda said 11 or 12

When I worked for them, starting wage for a tech was $9, but with your credentials you could have easily gotten $11-13. Especially considering that they upped all of their prices across the board and started doing house calls since they merged with the geek squad. You should get a raise after 90 days, around $.25-50. Oh....and enjoy your jehova's witness outfit

I was told that the guys on house calls that drive around the gay little vw bug make 25 bucks an hour. I was going to work at the best buy moving in across the street from my circuit city. They only wanted to give me .25 cents more then I was already making so I said screw that. Just got a job at compusa and my first day is tommorow. Commision baby!
