Best Buy Deceives Customers, Raises Price on Xbox 360

To be honest, this is deserving of it's own thread IMO; I consider this a PSA for people in Oregon 🙂

Yeah I agree it is deserving of it's own thread. This is just wrong what Best Buy did and I hope the AG comes down on them like a ton of bricks.

What do you mean "it's own thread?" Isn't this its own thread?

he said that because people think this should be in the sticky. I see you don't nkow what is the sticky. There is a thread about the 360 near the top of the threads.

Why do people complain about stickies. . .stickies ruin conversations as noone wants to wade through 300 posts. Just my opinion. Everytime something gets a sticky, it is almost like 'we can't discuss this'. . .

exactly... kinda like I wanna thread. It's completly and utterly pointless. The point of a thread is to contain a discussion of a particular topic. The fact that the conversation contains the "xbox 360" doesn't make the same topic.

They did this at the Beaverton store, as well... My friend waited 1.5 hours in line (at 5:00am) only to be handed a flyer stating that they'd only sell it in bundles.

Friggin' ridiculous!

such bullcrap, they did it when there was shortages of the original xbox at the best buy i used to work at. so glad i dont work there anymore, everything they say, ALWAYS CHANGES, therefore you cannot trust them. Im surprised that they didnt change the black friday laptop so that you had to buy a case, their service plan, etc..

Thanks, I was wondering which store this happened at.

kid's going to lose his job. Anonymous interview, but they only have to find the guy that starts every sentence with "pretty much" and fire him.

Am I paranoid but it wasn't that anonymous? Unless he was wearing a shirt he rarely wears and was wearing a wig. I would have done it from behind a screen and demanded some voice scrambling.

Yall want to know whats fvcked up? I went to BB today because a game was $20 off and when I went to ask if they had any 360s, the wannabe salesmen said no. As I have worked at this exact same store before, I went to talk to my old manager and she said there are over 40 in back (and in stock for the public, not reserve) and couldnt sell any more because they got a double shipment and had to wait for Tuesday (main restocking day) before they could sell them. The thing that really pissed me off though, is that all the employees who wanted one, could buy them after store hours. This is the same store that didnt sell out of 360s the day they went on sale, took 2 days before they could sell them all.
