Yup. The big announcement that the coupons comes with says "...virtually everything in the store, including all digital cameras, is 10% off."

Now, if we could only get an advanced preview of the special Memorial Day circular we could start plotting our purchases. Personally, I'm after a big tube TV. Preferably a Sony Wega. One of the coupons is for 10% off TVs $299 and up.

Does this only work with the coupons, or is it an in-store sale?

The reason I ask is because I'm not signed up to receive any ads from Best Buy in the mail. :frown:

is there anyway to combine this with an online offer bestbuy.com has? bestbuy.com still has the $50 gc with digital camera purchase, but is there any way i can use the 10% coupon on top of that?

Then you can take them to court and make them lose their business liscence, because it is illegal to raise prices and then advertise the original price as a "sale".
It is also illegal to advertise an item on sale if that price is the standard price within a certain period both before and after the "sale" date.

However, it is more likely that they will keep their current prices on the most-likely to be bought items, and only put sales on items that suck (read: are outdated; headed for clearance; jut flat out don't sell), so people are more likely to clear the shelves of those items.

Just like Blockbuster did before the 25% off sale. On some of the dvds they raised them $5. And it was so obvious....

I got two packets for some reason.

Packet one had:
1) 10% off any single item from these categories
2) 10% off Digital Projection, LCD, or plasma TV
3) 10% off regularly priced Music and Movies
4) Free $10 best buy gift card instantly with every $50 purchase

Packet two had:
1) 10% off any single item from these categories
2) 10% off Digital Projection, LCD, or plasma TV
3) 10% off one, 15% off two, 20% of three on Music, Movies, Games
4) 15% off total networking purchase: includes wired and wireless router, notebook/desktop network cards, usb adapters, networking switches/hubs, wireless signal booster, and wireless ethernet bridges

Last time they did this I got two packs too. Weird. Both packs are always different.

Just a thought.
Maybe you can place the order online and do store pick-up.
Then try to use a coupon maybe???

Get real. Stores can only get in trouble if they raise their prices above the MSRP. Every store on earth does this (with Kohls and JCPenny being particularly guilty).

Indeed. They always do that before a "big" sale like this. Ill have to check out the prices before then to see if they do. I need a 30 inch LCD tv.

How do you get these coupons? Do they just come in the mail if you buy something at best buy with a credit card?

I've heard from Best Buy employees that you GREATLY increase your chances of getting these coupons by signing up for a Best Buy credit card.

Is this true? Out of you guys who have actually received the coupons, do you also have a Best Buy credit card?

Yes ... now that I think of it ... I did start receiving these offers after I signed for their useless card ...

(wellI hate it ..... but I fear that my statement might help promote the BB credit card...)

I believe it's TRUE.

A year ago I was wondering why does everyone else get these nice "customer appreciation" coupons and e-mail GC's of $5 or $10???

I bought a BB vpr Matrix PC last year, applied for a BB credit card since they were offering 0% for 12 months, the credit card is offered by Household Bank and is VERY easy to qualify for. Go there and buy a DVD Burner with some DVD-R's I think the minimum purchase to finance is only $299?

2 months after buying the PC and applying for a BB cc I received my first BB "customer appreciation" coupon packets and have received them ever since then.

I receive them and have never bought anything over $100 and have never signed up for the BB CC. I think they took my name off of one of the MULTIPLE return slips that I have filled out.

I have prolly returned more items than I have kept.
