Cold cold cold. If you want to buy at a B&M, go to CompUSA.
This week they have TDK *100* packs, 1-12x campatible, for $39.95
with at $20 rebate from TDK. You can get up to three rebates
per household...TDK makes good quality CDRs, too. (These are
74 minute CDRs).

i guess if it's for storage, the media used is irrelevant...if its above COMPUSA quality that is. I use high quality audio cd's for audio production at 24bit, and consumer cd's can't even compare. So I guess you guys are right when it comes to just storage...look for the biggest bang for the buck. I guess those Sony's arent too good, but I still prefer the dye of 8x Sony's over anything else when it comes to storing pure data. 12X Sony's actually look washed out.

What's better quality???

I've used both the kingston ones from outpost, the Imation ones from CompUSA and some sony's in the past, but I can't tell much of a difference(in anything, not just data)...

take a true Audio CDR(2X) and take a regular SONY CDR or others...throw them in a dual cd player with mixer...and you have yourself a difference in audio quality...no doubt about it. But when comparing just regular cdr's, it's all about price. I guess they are all the same.

The TDK at CompUSA are from Ritek (crappy dye).

The ones at Costco (which says Certified Plus) are the real good stuff.
