Ites true that if people are willing to pay for it then its not a rip-off, however I can't help but shake my head at this.

Why? because they are doing something that people do not know how to do? Do you shake your head when people get their oil changed by someone else? It does not matter if it takes 30 seconds or 30 minutes. They simply do not know how to do it.

Bad example ... changing oil isn't really difficult, but it is dirty work thats a pain in the ass to do yourself plus you don't save a whole lot of money & simple directions don't come in a case of Castrol GTX.

Pairing a BT headset takes at most 15 seconds & requires reading a paragraph of simple instructions included with every headset ... again I don't begrudge Best Buy the profit but the fact that this service is apparently in demand is pretty sad.

Customer: "You hooked up this thingy with this phone here and I could call people, now it doesn't work!"
Best Buy: "Ugh, sorry sir but this is a different phone, and that was 6 months ago."
Customer "BUT I PAID YOU TO MAKE IT WORK!!! DO IT AGAIN FOR FREEEEE!!!"

I can see people coming back into Best Buy every time their handset gets unpaired and demanding them to do it again and again and again. Might cause a lot of headaches for $10.

I'm sure people kept asking the employees to set up their headsets, so I'm sure they got tired of doing that for free or just telling consumers, "sorry, we don't do that."

American is stupid.

No, they're usually in the phone manual because all phones are different in how to add a bluetooth device.
