Maybe I choose the wrong word, I should have said value instead of budget. I not necessarily have a budget I just hate to overpay for stuff (which is why I avoid iphones). I'm in a different country so providers are different. I'm looking for a one that has kit kat, 1.5/2GB ram would be nice, microsd also would be nice. If it has LTE even better but the ones that do are usually huge (4.7 inches or more)

if cost isn't that big of a factor, the z3 compact is probably the best compact phone available and should be future proof for a long time(4.6", LTE, microSD, 2GB ram, water proof), $500

if you want lower cost, then maybe the z1 compact, $400ish

any lower, you'll have to choose what to give up (LTE, processing power, RAM etc)

I liked these, they are just a bit expensive in my country

I just got a LG Ultimate 2 (LGL41C; I think it goes by other names on other carriers? I'm on Straight Talk) to replace my ZTE Majesty and it's a great phone so far. 4.5" screen, 1.2 GHz dual core, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory. I paid $130 from the Straight Talk website (or you can find it at a Walmart maybe).

I really don't like Korean phones generally. LG and Samsung just have horrible designs, and the worst implementations of android. Great screens though.

I do like Motorola phones a lot. I mean, these are just slabs of glass, not too hard, eh?

But if not Motorola, HTC definitely.

>Two issues I see. 1500mah battery and >4Gb of internal storage.

Memory offset by microSDHC slot and both issues offset by price.

Blu is attempting to open up the low end of the smart phone market.

You have to expect sone compromises....

I don't like it, if I'm going to have the hassle of having a 5 inch phone (too big for me), 2GB ram is a must

Well, one of your requirements was a lower price.

2 gigs and smaller? Galaxy Alpha but that's also more pricey.

Maybe you can get a used Nexus 5 that has been refurbished and had the battery replaced.

The Nexus 5 is about the same price on the Google Store (when in stock) as an LG G3 Vigor that is unsubsidized (around $320-$360 depending on the seller) but has 2gigs of RAM
Also the Nexus 5 gets Android updates fairly soon and is on the list for Lollipop

https://gigaom.com/2014/11/13/first...lipop-breathes-new-life-into-the-old-nexus-5/

My preference is for a phone with an easily replaceable battery. Otherwise, I'd definitely would have seriously considered the Nexus 5.
