Cmon someone tell me if that Desert Eagle is worth the $60. Does it shoot far? Is it all plastic or is there some cool metal too? Is that KJW M9 Tactical worth the $89?

Say what you like, but this is the first time I've heard anything bad about the KJW M9. Oh..expect your KJW USP trigger to break any time (replacable with a real H&K USP trigger, so it's not a big deal). They have a tendency to do so, and yes..the mags also tend to leak. The M9, on the other hand...usually doesn't. There's room for improvement, sure - but if you can find a better GBB for $75, be sure to let me know..because I seriously doubt you will.
Did it occur that maybe your friends' guns were POS's? Maybe they got a bad batch or something... 😉 Several hundred rounds through mine so far, and I haven't had any problems. I didn't just go buy the cheapest gun on the market - I did a bit of research first.

Keep in mind that the TM M9's are not that much more cash than the Metal KJ guns, and the quality is much better.
Keep in mind that I *didn't* buy a metal KJW...so it cost me 75 bucks. If it breaks, I'll either fix it or replace it..but until then, it's working great for what I paid.

Are there any GBBs where you can have a mag with BBs instead of having to load them in the top? I know there are some CO2 guns that have the CO2 canister and a mag together in the handle. Pretty sweet.
Damn, that's sweet! I always thought having a GBB would: 1, Look fake for not having a mag; 2, be counter-productive because loading BBs into the top is slow. But yeah, it gives me a totally new perspective on GBBs.Originally posted by: RGN

Well I went ahead and bought the DE while it was still on sale. I saw it on ebay for $90 and people were bidding, so I figure even if I dont like Airsoft I can at least make a little money off of it. (Although I doubt that I won't like it, everyone I know says that it is awesome) I would like to thank all of you for your help. I would have never found this gun if Cadetlee had never mentioned www.plyconsarmy.com. I may be back in a few weeks to get recommendations on an AEG. I am thinking about the TM SD5 series. They are relativly inexpensive ($200 and up on www.redwolfairsoft.com), and they look like they will fit me nicely. Thanks everyone.

Ok wait a minute. Plycons Armory sent me an email saying that I need to sign and fax their waiver to them. It said that I need to check with laws and that they are not responsible for knowing if Airsoft is legal in my area. I live in Michigan, and I figured that there is no way that it is illegal b/c I know tons of people who play it, and I have even seen it for sale in local stores like Rocky's. But everywhere I looked online seems to say that it is illegal in New York, Michigan, and New Jersey. Is this true? Am I really gonna get screwed over like this and deprived of my fun?
Michigan compiled Law Annotated, states as follows.... 750.222 Definitions. [M.S.A. 28.419 ]
(b) ?Firearm? means a weapon from which a dangerous projectile may be propelled by an explosive, or by gas or air. Firearm does not include a smooth bore rifle or handgun designed and manufactured exclusively for propelling by a spring, or by gas or air, BB's not exceeding .177 caliber.
Now that law is a 2 part statute. Yes Airsoft does exceed the .177 caliber restriction, BUT...SO DOES PAINT BALL. The second part of that Statute wich has to apply for the Statute to be in effect is as follows.
?Firearm? means a weapon from which a dangerous projectile may be propelled by an explosive, or by gas or air. NOW THIS IS WHY PAINT BALL DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE FIREARM STAUTE, IT EXCEEDS THE .177 CAL RESTRICTION, BUT IT IS NOT CONSIDERED A DANGEROUS PROJECTILE.
Now the statute doesnt apply to something unless BOTH parts apply to the product IE" Paint Ball.
