Best batch photo resizing app?

What's the easiest app that will batch resize photos, and/or compress jpg's more? Do some do it better than others (resize, compress and save), as far as not degrading image quality?

I use comp-u-pic pro. Easy to use, quality seems excellent, but admittedly I've never tried anything else so I don't have anything to compare it with.

the old powertoys added a context menu to RESIZE a picture or a batch of images you highlighted. It's that easy.

Yup, recently discovered powertoys for XP had this ImageResizer. Small, easy to use and adds an option in the context menu.

Agreed, I use that. Easy and quick and free.

It has batch rename also.

the powertoy will also strip the exif data so the file comes out smaller. works even if you "resize" to the same size

Coffee Cup (www.coffeecup.com) has a program called PixConverter that should do the job. I've used it sparingly, but it looks pretty good.
