Is this the sequel to Sammy Sosa High Heat 2001? Because if it is, I might have to bite on this deal, because that Sammy Sosa High Heat 2001 was the best baseball game I've ever played.
got it.. thanks. Couldn't find it for less than $39 elsewhere. The question is: Why so cheap?
a) misprint by buy.com.. supposed to be more expensive
b) right price, wrong product. Going to get shipped hhbb 2001 or 2000
c) buy.com is just is really nice to their customers (i.e. really a good price)

I got this game from www.gamestop.com for 34.99 plus 5.99 shipping. It says on backorder too but mine shipped out on the 3/15, the day it came out. It looks to be the best game baseball game ever and I get it tomorrow. I can't believe buy.com can sell it that cheap
I usually buy the Triple Play version every year and I am very dissapointed this year. I bought 2002 at CompUSA for $14.99 and it seems to be the exact same game as last year. No feature enhancements, just new rosters and slighly improved graphics. The intros aren't as good on EA games now either since they switched to animated intros from video intros. Maybe I'll have to try High Heat.
Since the 2000 versions of the programs, I think it's pretty much generally accepted (in reviews/web-sites, etc) that High Heat is a much better game than Triple Play. Give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I just got my High Heat 2002 from Buy.com yesterday and after playing a couple of games, I've already noticed some gameplay improvements. Definitely the best baseball sim out there. I've heard of a few bugs, but I haven't encountered them yet. If there are bugs and I'm sure there are (the series tends to have them every year), just think of them as High Heat going through Spring Training. 🙂
Have you tried High Heat over the internet yet? ...friend and I played a few games of Triple Play 2K2..cable-to-cable...sucked..laggy as hell and not worth the effort, even on the lowest settings.
Not to be mean or something, but when I buy something, I'd like it to be free of bugs or else we'd be promoting poor programming. Besides, spring training would equal more like beta version, should be not in final release. Just my tid bit.
