whats my best bang for the buck right now to upgrade from 6600GT?
sadly I don't suspect my 6600GT is worth much anymore, and from what I understand SLI is stupid path?

The eVGA 7800GT for $290 on Newegg, you'll almost triple your performance, and it comes with a free CoD2.

Now I wish I had a PCI-e mobo to upgrade from my 6600GT to the 7800GT. And SLi is only good if you want to have the msot performance by using two of the top cards.

You can still sell your 6600GT for around $80-$100 nowadays anyway... still a strong card.

don't worry....i personally don't think there's any problem gaming at 12 x 10

i game at that resolution too

you can always crank up the aa level....the gt will probably be able to handle most games with 4aa/8af in that resolution (no go for fear and call of duty cod2)

but when i play call of duty 2...i turn the rendering method to direct x7 and crank it up to 8aa/16af in the control panel and it looks gorgeous with at least 60fps most of the time!!

is it worth getting the GT CO for a few bucks more? $300 w/ no rebate... but I'm not sure if CoD2 comes with it
