I have a pretty old Fuji Finepix 2.1mp digital cam that I bought from someone on this fine forum (shameless plug). It has finally passed on to digital heaven and I need to find a replacement and fast.

I'll probably buy something at Best Buy since I have some gift cards and I am basically looking for something that doesn't suck but doesn't cost a ridiculous amount either. Understand that I'm not looking for any professional shots or anything. This will be for a few random shots around Mexico and a ski trip to Durango next month. It will definitely get some work tonight when we're out for New Years as well assuming I get some quick advice. 🙂

Price range: $100-$200. That's probably a pretty wide range but if it helps you steer me in the right 'bang for your buck' direction then by all means go on the high end of that.

I have a Fujifilm f100fd on the way, $285 before $100 MIR. It did really well among its peers with underlit/indoor shots. The MIR is good for purchases through 15 Jan.
 
The Canon 590IS is a pretty decent little camera with built in optical image stabilization. It can be found for about $120 or so.

Some of the Fuji cameras are superb in low light (indoors) photography.

I'm going to check out the FS3 at BB today. Looks like the price is very much on the low end of my range @ $109.99 and the reviews are very favorable. Thanks everyone I'll let you know how it turns out.
 
Up your budget a little bit and get the Panasonic TZ5 or the Canon PowerShot SX110 IS if you can live with the size.

Sony Cyber-Shot W120 won dpreview's pocket cam shootout a while back and is right in your range.
