Best "Bang for the Buck" 19-inch LCD

Hello friends,

I've taken advantage of quite a few deals on here. However, I missed all the deals on LCDs when they dropped dramatically in price a month or two back, mainly because I got laid off. Now I am back into the scene with a great paycheck every week so looking to upgrade my 17 inch Samsung CRT to a 19 inch LCD monitor.

I am lucky enough to have a Tiger Direct outlet store to get some good deals on some computer parts. I happened to notice a nice monitor in the top 200 dollar mark but I noticed that the other monitors they had on display had a brighter picture all around. Also I didn't hear the name brand before for monitors which was acer I believe.

Anyway, I figured what better place to ask than you guys. I am looking the most bang for the buck monitor all around for some DVD and a little gaming pleasure. I am not looking for something expensive. If I did.. I will most likely buy a sony xbrite.

Thanks in advance for any help

ok "teh samsung" is very good advice. I only see a 399 monitor in which case I might as well get a dual monitor setup. Looking for something decent in the low or mid 300s with some kind of a deal I guess

Aye, another vote for the L90D+. Enjoying mine so far, tho I can't really compare it to other LCD's since this is my first. Well, apart from the 15" Dells in the school computer lab.

I'm very happy with my BenQ I bought at $359. No dead pixels, and great colors. Its now $343 at NewEgg - has lots of good reviews. If you can't go above $350, its a decent LCD.

However, the Hyundai (ImegaQuest) LD90+ wasn't available when I bought my BenQ. I'd go for the L90D+ that one if I was buying now. The L90D+ can pivot to portrait mode, has DVI and analog inputs, and you can't beat the 8 ms count time.
