Best bang for buck watch?

I'm looking for a watch and am looking for sub-$200 watch that'll hopefully last me a bit.

Any suggestions?

Casio >>> Timex for digital sport watches

A Fossil is really cheap and should last you a decent amount of time with only a few battery changes.

For $200 you can get a GPS unit, have the most accurate time piece you're likely to ever encounter outside a seismic lab and know where you're at. Otherwise just get a Casio, Timex, or a cheap watch. Expensive watches are like Corvettes; you might as well be wearing a Viagra t-shirt.

If you're not going to buy a really nice watch, is there a tremendous difference between a $40 watch and a $200 watch other than name brand?

That being said, my Swiss Army watch has lasted me 10 years and cost just over $300 ($375 now). After two battery changes it is still water proof and generally in good shape other than normal 10 years of wear, wear.

My watch

casio g-shock's are indestructible.

Done pretty much everything except light mine on fire and it's still rockin. Like $20 too, with all the features I'd need. 😕

I prefer analog. $40 Timex I have now is three years old; I haven't even changed the battery, and it still keeps time to within 5 seconds/month. I buy cheap watches for everyday wear because they tend to get beaten up at work (avionics repair).
