Huey Lewis and the News (New Years Eve party)1986-87 at the Oakland Coliseum.

My niece got to have all the members sign autographs after the New Years party. We sat right behind Huey Lewis's mom and family with some VIP passes. Her High school classmates at the time couldn't believe it at the time.

I also got a chance to see the Spinners around 1974(before most of you people here were born) but they are not a band.

Not the best, but my first real punk show was DRI & The Exploited (with some local opener). Im not going to say what year that was 😱 . I have been to literally thousands and thousands of shows (and maybe a handful of fests), but i would say that 1998 was a good year for me because that was my second year in the bay area.

I saw DRI with The Accused at the old Pine Street Theater in Portland back in 1987. Good show! The pit was insane and my ears rang for 2 days afterwards.
