I'm using 7.4's with CCC installed, but I'm having errors with evey game I play. Should I go back to the 7.2's with 7.1 CCC or go with 7.3's?

And are you 100% certain that your errors in "every" games you play are caused directly by the GPU drivers ? You know ... when there is errors in games, it can be caused by SO many variants that pointing at GPU drivers right away might be a little premature. Is your OS stable in the first place ? Do you over-clock ? If so, did you verify your OC'ed hardware's stability with precision and came to definitive conclusions ? If no OCs are concerned, then are you using the lastest BIOS version ? Is your CPU model compatible with the BIOS version you're using ? Do you have the latest Chipset/Mobo drivers ? Sound drivers ? Latest DX version installed ? Etc ... etc ... etc.

As for CCC, do yourself a favor and just don't use it, errors in games or not, there is no reasons to use it over ATi Tray Tools in the first place.

I am also using the 7.4's and I think I will uninstall the CCC tonight, but I am having some problems with ATT and I was wondering if anyone knew what I was doing wrong.

I can install ATT no problems, and it runs fine initially (shows temps, can OC etc) but after a restart I have to reinstall it every time. I probably need to post more info about the actual error, but I think it points to a missing file (.dat?) and Im forced to uninstall/reinstall it to get it to work again.

Any ideas? I can post more info when I get home tonight.

Do you have the latest beta (0.27) of ATITool?

A number of Vista issues were fixed in that update.

I was using ATT (ATI Tray Tools) - sorry for the confusion.

I had also downloaded ATITool 0.27 - but all the options were greyed out (possibly because of CCC?) so I decided to try ATI Tray Tools and ran into the above problems.

I've had problems with 7.3 and 7.4 displaying my HD-DVD movies properly (there is image corruption). 7.2 Drivers work fine but CCC takes up 100% of the cpu when i try to play an hd-dvd. I finally uninstalled CCC and have had no problems now.

Whenever I get driver problems, it means its time to reformat, drivers SHOULD NOT be an issue unless something else is conflicting
