best app for playing any videos on android?

first i tried MXplayer then VLC.
for some reason, some mkv or mp4 files cannot fast forward or rewind. the time slider on the bottom doesnt work as well. but off course they can be fastward/rewind when playing with a PC. why?

the youtube app consistent play audio loud. but in VLC some files have low audio and bumping audio up is still much lower than the videos i see in youtube app.

can you suggest an app that solves both issues above? thanks!

what phone do you have? The SOC could be the issue. MX player worked great with my LG G3 ( now using iphone 8 plus). Test SW, HW and HW+ rendering methods in settings of MX player.
