You're not going to find an apartment in a nice area of Pasadena for 1k unless you get really, really lucky.

wow, CA must be very expensive. You can get a nice 2 Bedroom apartment here for under $700 with water included.

Yea really. You can get a NICE 2700+ sq. foot house with acreage/outbuildings around here about 15 minutes from a moderately sized city for $75k-$125k

I can get a 3 bed, 2 bath, 1234 sq. ft. apartment with AC, Dishwasher, Garbage Disposal, fridge, balcony/deck/patio, and a fitness center/pool/playground/clubhouse here for $695.

It also has a general use business center and storage units.
