Best and worst cities for CRIME!

Wow.. Flint (MI), Detroit (MI) and Atlanta (GA) all are not on this list.

That may be a first.

Flint is not close to being worst in the mid-sized. I'm shocked.

These numbers seem to be based on kind of a weird matrix for overall crime, and I don't think they are representative of realistic dangerousness. Hard to tell, though.

Worst Small Cities for Crime
1. Topeka, KS

Topeka has the highest rate of property crime among cities with fewer than 200,000 residents. The rates of larceny and robbery are especially high.

Nice.

woot! TOPEKA!

Actually, from what I've heard it is because we report ALL crimes, whereas many cities list only violent crimes and major thefts....

Its cause we are ghetto.

I'm sorry, but i'm going to move out of this hole as soon as I can. Larryville here I come 😉

Checked my hometown on the list (Auburn, Maine) we only had three days over 90 last year. 🙂
Plus we had 150 days of temps below freezing...the crime rate is pretty damn low.

I didnt realize the population here is 98% white.
