i'm really on a budget here but I'm looking for a new motherboard that will last me for a few years that is under 100 dollars. DFI, CHAINTECH and MSI so many boards to choose from but this will be for gaming. The rig i plan to build is bellow:

AMD 64 2800
1gig DDR
RADEON 9800pro
80gig hd

i don't really plan on overclocking, maybe just to test it out but some games don't like overcloekd stuff hehe.

Dual Channel = Socket 939 = Athlon 64 3000+

Athlon 64 3000+
RADEON 9800pro <<---- AGP or PCi express ? { If you buying new go with PCi express }
80gig hd

2800 = $120
3000 = $147

PCIe gives you better bang for the buck, and future upgradibility. Consider one of the 754 NF4 boards. You seem to be in a very similiar situation that I was in a few weeks ago. I picked a Palermo Sempron over a Newcastle A64. They are generally better unless 64-bit is important to you.

Oh and a lot of people will push you to 939. It might be a better choice if you do a lot of CPU upgrading or really love getting every bit of performance out. I replacement cycle is 2-4 years, so keeping a mobo through multiple processors is a nonissue for me.
