best AMD gaming motherboard?

What is THE best gaming motherboard for AMD processors that has S-ATA and dual channel DDR and as many ram slots as possible? I have a preference of MSI then Asus. What do you recommend? I thought of the KT6 but it has nForce2 - no dual channel. What should I look for?

Ignoring budgets, Id have to say the ABIT NF7-S Rev 2.0.

SATA RAID, Dual Channel DDR, Soundstorm Certified and an excellent overclocker to boot. Id put money on most NF7 owners backing me on saying that it is one top quality board.

I went with the NF7-S for my quotation.
There is no budget, it's a gaming system I'm pricing for people who want a high end system. Is the AN7 any better than the NF7-S?

No, and as a matter of fact Abit AN7 is currently shipping with a cut trace and some other visible mods to the PCB to remedy a known problem with the board. It will be fixed in Rev. 2.0 but for now it's tainted goods. Go with the NF7-S in the meantime. Aside from uGuru, there is no real difference between them.

If there's no budget and they want AMD, why not go for the Athlon FX-51 or even the Athlon 64?

My NF7-S has better sound than my 'old' Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev 1.04. The only feature not on the Abit that peeves me is automatic fan control.

I've got the MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR and I'm very happy with it. Dual Channel memory and SATA RAID, so it meets your two requirements. I'm running dual 80mb Western Digitals off the RAID controller and it has worked like a champ...
