if i needed a socketA board with sdr ram i would take a kt133a chipset board

epox 8kta3 is a good example :)

My ASUS A7V133 motherboard is very very very good!! Uses the KT133A chipset from VIA, SDRAM.

John, garbage is an acquired taste. Some people buy and love it, while other buy it and are put off by the rotten stench and rancid taste after a while. Like I said, it's an acquired taste :)

He said SDR so: VIA KT133A ( what else?, the SIS 735 runs dog slow with DDR, in fact it runs like the SIS 635)

My recommendations:

Iwill mobos based on the KT133A chipset
Epox mobos based on the same.
If you get lucky, an Abit KT7A rev 3.0 that doesn't die in the first two months.

However, if you are looking for a future upgrade path to DDR, then the ECS K7S5A is viable, provided you get
one that doesn't give you problems or die within the first 2-3 months.
