Gigabyte would have been my favorite if only they had not put that first pci-e x1 slot where it really will stuggle to be used.. but.. I still like it better than the top Asus board.. where you get your SATA ports bloced in SLI and.. only have one pci and one pci-e if you are lucky..
MSI looks interesting.. i like the option of higher quality, lower noise.. be nice to have for a tv tuner card..
I am thinking AM2 will need a few more months to mature.. so.. buyer beware.. I am planning on staying with the old Socket 939 or throwing my concerns about Possessed Computing.. you know the "trusted Platform modules in all the nForce 5 and Ati 32oo chipsets and all the AM2 cpus, except maybe the Semrons..to the wind and getting a nice fast fully certified Conroe board.. AM2 and whatever AMD is coming up with in the next few weeks and months will not match up.. so if you want to go AM2, I have read nVidia is going to upgrade its chipset and AMD will have much better processors after they have made the switch to 65nm.. until then.. why AM2.. no performance gain for the most part unless you spend a ton of money on memory.. $$275 is minimum to spend on 2 GB of ram to beat what you can get performance wise on the old Socket 939.
So.. AM2 motherboards can not be cheap enough.. imo.. not worth it yet.
