my fav this year is Madlib-Shades of Blue. Someone mentioned Calexico-Feast of Wire. That's a good one to. I think Elephant is pretty good. Hail to the Thief is no OK Computer but still pretty good.

Hard to compare Cursive to someone because it will no doubt sell them short. . . All of their albums are great ALBUMS, from start to finish, and they are best listened to from start to finish.

They have some samples on amazon that you should go check out.. (skip track 1 - it's just a kind of intro.)

Rush of Blood to the Head and RHCP's By the Way are the two best albums i've ever heard i think. where there are 2 or 3 songs on the entire album that are absolute incredible.

You obviously didn't see them on the Summer Sanitarium tour....They were banging out the old-school like you wouldn't believe. And damn loud too!! The new stuff ain't much to write home about, But they can still put on one hell of a live show.
