Best air rifle

I want to know what is the best air rifle for under $300. I need accuracy over long distances. Any suggestions?

Just curious as to why not a real gun? I was gonna say "Nothing under $100 is that great" until I read the post...

there are air rifles over $300? geez. I heard good things about the Benjiman-Sheridan from a friend of mine. It's a bolt action though... pretty accurate according to him.

While searching through some websites, most of their air rifles are between 400 and 700 dollars. I don't want a real gun because I might kill someone when I'm pissed off. Air rifles are also quieter too

What is the best power plant for velocity?

Pneumatic's can reach velocities of 1000fps, all the CO2 guns i've seen only do about 600-650fps for a .177cal. Some of those West German air rifles are among the best, can't remember the names though. The Chinese have some really good cheap ones too. Go with a side cocking, RWS, BSA, ect.
