Hi, my build is

ANTEC 900 with 3x THERMALTAKE ULTRA-QUIET CASE FANS
Intel Q6600 with OCZ Ultra 5+ Silver Thermal Compound
Western Digital 150GB 10 k RPM Raptor
Asus P5K-E Core 2 Quad Motherboard
Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series Sound Card
eVGA 8800GT 650 Mhz Superclocked 512MB 2DVI/HDCP PCI-Express Video Card
Rosewill 750 Watt PS

Planning to OVERCLOCK Quad processor to 3.4 GHz or so.
Total of 5x 120mm fans and 1x 200 mm fan as of right now.
What Processor cooler should i buy for this ?

Would it be easy to set up? I just dont want to mess up the other stuff on this PC..im getting this build by some other people...so dont want to void the warranty on it.

Any recommendations on cheap, efficient overclockable RAM ??

Thankyou!!

Not that I know any better, but it's probably either the thermalright ultra120, or the tuniq tower(as far as performance goes)

possibly the scythe ninja plus could go in there somewhere too.

Just below that you have the value boys, the Thermaltake Big Typhoon and the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro

The CNPS 9700 should probably also go somewhere in there.

for ram, pick up some crucial ballistix ddr800 4x1gb sticks. you can get it cheap, either the tracers or non-tracer ballistix will do you fine. you don't need high speed ram to overclock a q6600, just get some good ddr800.

Any DDR-800 from a reputable manufacturer should be fine for overclocking your quad. To make things easiest on yourself, get RAM that's specified to run at 1.8V.

yes. it will run tighter timings and is more compatible in some situations. the first link is the good stuff. it will run at 1.8v, but to get the advertised timings you'll need about 2.0v-2.2v. the tracers are cheaper than the non-tracers at this time, might as well go with those. i have both and they both run the same at their rated timings & speeds. i haven't pushed them past ddr800 since i only need 9x400 to reach 3.6ghz with my quad.

I've read problems of people with 4x1gb set-ups... That's just me though. I'm running 2x2GB Mushkin and OC'ing has been a breeze.

Ultra 120 extreme HSF is king. And you don't need that many fans in an Antec 900 case.

wat do u mean 9x400 ? i guess ill get 4 sticks of 1 GB Tracers then? How much could i overclock on a P5K-E with sufficient air cooling..?

Well in default it comes with a 200mm fan, 2x 120mm on the front to cool HDD cages and the rear 120mm fan..
Are you sure i dont need the extra 2 fans? 8800 gt...

Well, I have 2 Antec 900 cases, all with only the stock fans, both with Ultra 120 extreme coolers, one a B3, and one a G0 Q6600, the B3 stays at 70c or less 100% load on all 4 cores, 24/7/365, and the G0 at 58c max same conditions. I have X1900Xt video cards in them, which run hotter than 8800GT's, so I am sure you are fine.

And they are OC'ed to 3320 and 3550 respectively.

Edit: That Zalmann is quit, but not good at cooling a Q6600 @ 3.4 or better IMO.

9x400=3.6ghz (3600) 9x is the default multiplier of the q6600.

yes, you'll want to run them at 9x380 which will give you a cpu speed of 3.42ghz.

just a note; the tracer rebate allows for (2) kits per address, so you could get 4gb if you wanted to. i did :D

edit: whoa, today's the last day for the rebate, so you better get off the fence if you want these.
