I've been using Trillian for a long time now, but I just tried gaim and I think that I like the simplicity of gaim better.

I've tried them all: AIM, DeadAIM, AIM+, AIMutation, Miranda, Trillian and GAIM. Like was just mentioned two posts above, I'm currently using GAIM for the simplicity. Each one has it's positives. I really, really love how Trillian Pro displays each person's away msg just under their screen name. On the other hand, I hate how profiles and away msgs are plain txt. DeadAIM, AIM+ and AIMutation are great because file transfers are a breeze. DeadAIM's logging is lackluster. Trillian also shines with it's logging. It's displayed on a calendar, very neat.
