The main thing you need for WoW is RAM, make sure you have 1GB of it. As far as video cards go, 6600GT's are popular and can easily be found for about $100. Pretty much any card in the ATI X800 series would be a great card for WoW also.

when I played WoW (deployed now so cant) I played it on my P4 3ghz system that had an FX5500 256mb card and 2gb of ram, it ran it no problems at all at high res. I also had DSL too, never had any problems on any raids. I had some problems in Ironforge, but that was when I only had 1gb of ram, upgrading to 2gb fixed the problems there.

My daughter is still using a 9800 Pro 256MB (flashed to an XT) and it plays WoW perfectly at 1280x1024 on a 19" LCD.
I am in the process of buying her an X1800XT to replace it (she has an Asrock 939 Dual Sata mainboard)
Anyway, you can still find the 9800 256MB Pros for about $60 to $70 if you look hard enough. Still very good AGP cards.

I used to play on an el cheapo 9600SE and it ran great. WoW isn't very demanding GPU wise and will run well as long as you have a good enough CPU and at least 1GB of RAM.
